Webinar: Enabling Unmanned Traffic Management System in the UK
Event finished: 22nd May 2020
In 2019, we published an Unmanned Traffic Management (UTM) white paper; ‘Towards a UTM system for the UK’. It put forward a conceptual framework for a national UTM system and laid out the rationale for why a UTM is required in detail, along with several basic principles to be followed in order to leverage the maximum benefits.
This year, we convened a more detailed development of open-access UTM and engaged with the unmanned aircraft systems and UTM community to formalise the framework and to define the future direction around which industry and regulators can openly engage with each other. The ‘Enabling Unmanned Traffic Management (UTM) in the UK’ white paper provides an overview of the outcomes of the research and the next steps aimed at advancing UTM including a testing plan.
This webinar will see the launch of this, provide an introduction and background information to the project, and answer any questions about the project you may have.
