Virtual Connections Café: Support and Networking Webinar

View Event Details

Event finished: 14th July 2021

Connections Cafés are a Connected Places Catapult series of SME support and networking events where we connect our SME community to industry, government and funders.

During this Connections Café we will discuss knowledge exchange and collaboration between universities and innovative SMEs.

Increasingly academics and entrepreneurs work hand in hand to develop new products and services which positively impact the transport, built environment, and underlying infrastructure in our towns and cities.

Be it an academic-led spinout or a start-up approaching a university known for its excellence in a specific field, there is no singular way to engage in knowledge exchange partnership, but a variety of routes and facilities that includes grant funding, access to expertise and testing, IP commercial licensing or a combination of these.

Our speakers are knowledge exchange managers, academics and business executives from the UK and abroad working together to develop, test and commercialize ground-breaking solutions for sustainable power generation, digital twins democratization, clean water management and urban planning.

Join us for this interactive session to get first-hand insights on how academic excellence and entrepreneurship work together and what the different parts of that journey are.
