The Freight Innovation Fund (FIF) is a multi-faceted programme funded by the Department for Transport (DfT) and delivered by Connected Places Catapult.
The programme was launched in January 2023 to support Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) to develop and test greener and more efficient solutions for freight through the Accelerator Programme and Freight Innovation Cluster.
The fourth Accelerator will select up to 15 SMEs to join a 6-month programme, where they will each receive £20,000 to develop a detailed trial proposal. 10 SMEs will then be selected to trial their solutions with an additional £130,000 of trial funding each.
On the 22nd May at 10:30 am, Connected Places Catapult and DfT will be hosting an Application Support Webinar for the Freight Innovation Fund Accelerator 4. It will include an overview of the programme, the challenges, and offer support and guidance on the application process. Attendees will have the chance to ask questions and seek support to help build a strong application.
