Local Growth

Helping regions unlock growth, investment and opportunity

We work with local authorities and regional partners to design and deliver programmes that drive regional growth. By strengthening innovation ecosystems, creating routes to market through procurement and attracting investment, we help turn regional priorities into practical delivery.

How we help regions drive growth

.

Why work with us

Regional growth in action

Across the UK, we work with local and strategic authorities to address the challenges that shape regional growth. Here are some examples of our work in practice.

Many regions are taking on greater responsibilities through devolution but face capability and capacity gaps in areas such as commercialisation, investment and innovation-led growth.

We work with regional partners to build local capability through embedded expertise, strategic partnerships and hands-on support. This includes initiatives with Cardiff Capital Region, Glasgow City Region, Belfast City Council, East Midlands Combined Authority and South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority.

Outcome: Building capability that remains embedded within the region, helping authorities accelerate delivery and support long-term growth.

Many regions need stronger pipelines of investment-ready businesses, projects and growth opportunities.

In the West Midlands, we have supported regional growth through accelerator programmes, cluster development activity and investment-focused initiatives, helping strengthen the region’s innovation ecosystem
