Bevis has spent his whole career working in sustainability in public, private and voluntary sectors.
Dubbed by some media as ‘the first environmentalist to run a UK bank’, Bevis has led Triodos Bank UK since April 2016. The bank is widely regarded as a global pioneer of sustainable finance and recognised as the UK’s most sustainable banking provider by several consumer watchdogs and rankings. He has also been a leading challenger in efforts to change the banking system and direct money as a powerful force for good and has appeared in recent high-profile WWF campaign films such as ‘‘Our Planet Too Big To Fail’ and ‘Banking on a Wilder Tomorrow’. He also has a regular column in the Metro newspaper on how to green your money. He has held numerous Directorships and Trusteeships as well as national advisory roles in banking and impact investing.
He has a first-class business degree, a PhD in Management Science, is a Chartered Environmentalist and was recently awarded an honorary doctorate for his leadership in sustainability.
