As fossil fuels are phased out, we need to ensure that battery electric charging and hydrogen refuelling operations are safe.
This report explores hazards and risks associated with zero-emission heavy goods vehicles and associated battery recharging / hydrogen refuelling stations. Control measures are proposed which should be considered during planning, development, and operational stages.
The report signposts to relevant legislation, standards and codes of practice, and could benefit a range of industry stakeholders, including designers, developers, operators, emergency responders, and users of charging and refuelling sites.
