The delivery of public charging and refuelling infrastructure is critical in facilitating long-distance operations and adoption of zero-emission heavy goods vehicles.

This report outlines the delivery process for infrastructure from conception to operation. It answers key questions including; where to best locate a site, what the core components of site design are, how to secure a grid connection and how best to navigate the planning system to achieve development consent.   

The report highlights key barriers, considerations and signposts to the relevant organisations and guidance to inform early-stage development planning and raises awareness for contributing decision makers and stakeholders.
