Artificial Intelligence offers new approaches to make cities work better for citizens and businesses. Leeds has major capabilities in data and computer science, and a strong record of innovation in health care and digital local government.

On 18th June the Nexus,  University of Leeds and the Connected Places Catapult will host an evening event on what AI could do for cities, including Leeds, and what businesses and researchers in the region can bring to city innovation, nationally and globally.

Speakers will include Tamar Loach (Data Science Team Lead at the Catapult), Paul Connell (Founder, ODI Leeds, CEO The Data City), Prof David Hogg, Professor of Artificial Intelligence, University of Leeds and the Alan Turing Institute Urban Data programme.

Presentations and the panel will be followed by drinks and networking. The event aims to bring together local digital businesses, researchers and the local public sector. It is the third meeting of the UK URBAIN City Analytics and AI network, and the first in Leeds.

The event will take place from 6-8.30pm

You are warmly invited to attend this free networking event, in partnership with the generous support of the University of Leeds.
