Manual for Smart Streets launch

Join us on Monday 21 March at 1.30pm for the launch of the Manual for Smart Streets.
A double-decker bus drives on a city street lined with historic buildings as pedestrians walk on the sidewalk and bicycles are parked nearby. The sun is low, casting a warm light over the scene.

The Manual for Smart Streets is intended to provide guidance to support local authorities in implementing technology that supports traffic management and the operation of streets. This includes how traffic signals will develop to connect to vehicles into the future, how new sources of data can link into implementing other services in the local authority, information for how people could move around, providing a wider control and management of the network to the local authority.

Join the manual’s authors, led by Daniel Hobbs of the Connected Places Catapult along with representatives of the Department for Transport’s Traffic and Technology Directorate. You’ll hear about the Manual for Smart Streets, its content and inspiration, plus have a chance to ask questions.

The event is particularly important for Local Authorities, their consultants and suppliers.

Join us between 1.30 and 3pm online.
