i3P talks with HS2: calcined clay - accelerating low carbon concrete adoption for the UK
Event finished: 26th November 2025
When and where?

The UK construction industry faces major challenges in reducing emissions from cementitious materials amid rising demand and resource constraints. Calcined clay offers a cost-effective, low-carbon alternative reducing embodied carbon by up to 35% and improving resource security.
However, adoption in the UK is limited by technical, economic, and regulatory barriers. This event will explore strategies to break the supply-demand deadlock through industry commitments, funding, and awareness, paving the way for pilot projects and large-scale implementation.
Join us to discuss how calcined clay can help drive the UK’s transition to Net Zero construction.
This meeting will be online via Teams.
