Running from October 2025 to March 2026, the accelerator programme is looking for West Midlands-based innovators with digital solutions that could support the planning and optimisation of the Birmingham Knowledge Quarter (BKQ) or Wolverhampton’s Green Innovation Corridor (GIC) to help shape a smarter, more sustainable future for the region.
Supporting up to 10 SMEs, the accelerator will provide tailored commercial and technical support to each SME. At least 5 SMEs will be selected to trial their solutions and a total pot of £100k will be made available to develop and demonstrate their digital twin use case with the support of the programme partners. We expect projects to cost between £10k and £20k.
The Diatomic Digital Accelerator Application Support webinar will cover everything you need to know to apply to the accelerator. We will explain the background of the programme, hear from the programme partners, detail the challenges that the accelerator is looking to address and the assessment process, including accessing the funding pool available for trials. It will then provide an overview of what SMEs can expect to get from the programme, the application process and programme timeline and then guidance for completing a good application.
