DIATOMIC Demo Day: Innovation in Action

The DIATOMIC Digital Accelerator has been supporting innovative SMEs in the West Midlands to respond to a series of challenges identified in collaboration with Birmingham City Council, Aston University, University of Wolverhampton and Wolverhampton City Council. Over the last few months, the SMEs have been trialling their solutions in the areas of Mobility and Last Mile, Building Optimisation, Renewable Energy and Planning in the two investments Zones (Birmingham Knowledge Quarter and Wolverhampton Green Innovation Corridor).   

This event will be a chance to hear from the eight SMEs who have taken part in the programme. We will be showcasing the projects and celebrating their achievements. Attendees will have the opportunity to find out more about solutions that could help to create cleaner and healthier cities. There will also be the chance to network with the cohort, programme partners, investors and other key players from local authorities and the private sector.

Innovations include an AI copilot for faster planning decisions, collaborative tools for street and public space design, intelligent building platforms to optimise energy use, and digital systems for recycling and low-carbon energy management.
