The ATOMICUS consortium led by Cirium are hosting their final showcase event at the Urban Innovation Centre, at Connected Places Catapult London Office.
The project partners are: Cirium, ANRA Technologies, University of Southampton, Neuron, Distributed Avionics and Connected Places Catapult, supported by the Guild of Air Traffic Control Officers (GATCO), NATS, the Welsh Government and Aerospace, CAA and EUROCONTROL.
Over the past 17 months this multi-skilled, cross-sector consortium has been focussing on exploring the challenges of digitally and operationally integrating a cargo UAS into regional airports to minimise the impact of delays for time sensitive delivery of aircraft spare parts directly airside - mitigating costly Aircraft on Ground (AOG) incidents for airlines. The project has achieved open standards based integration between aviation stakeholders in a possible UK first, including the European network manager, ANSP, Airport ATC (simulated), Operator, Mission Planner and UAS Ground Control capability.
