The Connected Places Catapult is proud to be delivering the Department for Transport’s 2021 Accessibility-Technology Research and Innovation Grants (A-TRIG) Programme.

The DfT’s Inclusive Transport Strategy sets out governments ambition and plans for making our transport system more inclusive. There remain areas where innovation is required to remove barriers faced by people with a range of additional needs.

DfT’s Accessibility Team is therefore seeking to advance promising new products and services that have the potential to significantly improve access to services and increase confidence in travelling. These could include, for example, solutions that remove physical barriers, make it easier to access information, automate processes or better inform transport staff when supporting travellers.

Under the A-TRIG programme, at least three organisations will be awarded funding of up to £120k to fund TRL development from 4 to 7. This means that the technology should already have been validated in a lab or testing environment, allowing for the next phase of development – demonstration in a fully operational environment.

This Webinar will provide further information, offer application support and guidance and give you the opportunity to ask any questions you have about the programme.
