I think the station of the future will be an accessible community hub that brings together different transport modes in an accessible manner that helps decarbonise Britain’s transport system. Station of the future to me is a destination. I want our passengers to enjoy their experiences, to have the facilities that enhance their experience, provides for everybody not just passing through, but see us as the start at the end of their journey. Stations of the future. I’d really like to see an improvement on accessibility and making sure that stations really do cater for everyone with accessibility needs and just everyone.

Full stop. The railway should be for everyone and deliver for everyone. The station of the future is going to be connected, digitally connected for passengers, digitally connected for operators and digitally connected for maintainers, so that the stations can be more available, better experience for passengers as well. So for me, stations need to be part of the community. They need to represent and emulate the communities that they serve.
