Project Summary
Cranfield University will develop a multi-vessel charging
optimisation platform for ports that considers the practical
limitations of the power grid and the time that vessels spend
in berth. Use of such a platform promises to accelerate the
maritime sector’s move towards decarbonisation targets by
avoiding significant changes in infrastructure.
