Project Summary
Transport needs to reduce its environmental impact, a key enabler of this will be novel configurations and new propulsion systems. Rapid structural evaluation of the impact of these new ideas will enable UK transport manufacturers to enhance their global competitiveness. This project harnesses Queen’s University Belfast leading structural analysis capability together with the innovative approach of Artemis Technologies to propose a way to achieve this for maritime vessels. The plan is to investigate if it is feasible for a family of structural models with different levels of fidelity can lead to quick results to facilitate maritime de-carbonisation.
