He leads the organisation’s Public Affairs team and strategy, advocates for the logistics sector in political, government and regulatory arenas, and provides Logistics UK and its membership with strategic advice. He also leads Logistics UK’s innovation workstream, engaging with members, policymakers and other stakeholders on the innovation priorities of the sector. Ben was previously Head of Stakeholder Engagement at intercity train operator LNER, where he led LNER’s public affairs, internal communications and community investment teams. Prior to that, he was Head of Rail Communications at the Department for Transport, leading on a wide range of announcements and engagement opportunities; an Account Director at Westbourne Communications, supporting clients from energy and transport to welfare to work; Deputy Director of Labour Friends of Israel; and a Parliamentary Researcher in the House of Commons. He studied Politics and International Politics at Degree and Masters levels, at the University of Liverpool.
