Innovation Station Design Contest Industry Day with Network Rail

View Event Details

Event finished: 12th March 2020

The first phase of the Innovation Station programme looks to solve challenges around collecting real-time railway station crowding information on platforms and identifying new measures for monitoring and checking station equipment. Using Manchester Piccadilly Station as an innovation testbed, the programme will look to trial new design solutions addressing each of the challenges, selected through a Design Contest Competition and this event will provide an overview of the requirements we are looking for and an opportunity to ask questions and network with the project team.

Lightning Pitches

Candidates seeking collaborators or development partners will be provided with an opportunity to give a brief pitch to other attendees. This will involve a two-minute presentation, where candidates can introduce themselves, their business, relevant details of their proposed solution, and the skillset or types of partner organisation requested.

Please answer yes to the Lightning Pitch question when registering for the event.

This is not an opportunity to pitch your solution to Network Rail staff, and Network Rail staff will be unable to respond to questions during this section of the event. Participants selecting this option will not be able to display any slides, instead, we will display your name and contact details on the screen.

All submissions following launch will be through Network Rail Bravo: https://networkrail.bravosolution.co.uk/web/login.html
