The infrastructure sector has no shortage of ideas, new technologies or ambitious pilots. The challenge is turning those ideas into solutions that are adopted, scaled and deliver lasting value.

Join us for our next i3P talks with on Wednesday 16 September 2026, as innovation strategist and former industrial R&D leader Rob Munro explores why good ideas so often stall, and what organisations can do differently to move innovation from pilot to practice.

In this session, Rob will explore:

  • Why promising innovations struggle to move beyond the pilot stage
  • The organisational barriers that quietly hold innovation back
  • How silos, fragmented ownership, competing priorities and risk aversion can prevent adoption
  • The n silent killers of innovation and how they undermine progress, often despite the best intentions
  • What organisations can do to create the conditions for innovation to be adopted and scaled

The focus is not on generating more ideas. It is on creating the conditions to implement, adopt and scale what works.
