Join this week’s Gemini Call to hear how Chris Pointon, Product Manager – Trust Services at Icebreaker One, has helped shape Perseus, a UK smart data scheme designed to increase the flow of finance to small and medium-sized enterprises supporting the transition to renewable energy. Following a pilot in 2025, Perseus is now operational, with members launching services enabled by its assured data flows.

In this practical session, Chris will take attendees behind the scenes of Perseus, exploring how the scheme was designed, how it is governed, and the legal and technical components that enable it to operate at scale. He will also show how this approach has been built for reuse, with open source components and openly published rules that can help inform other smart data and digital twin initiatives.

Why attend?

If you are working on trusted data sharing, digital twins, smart infrastructure or cross-sector collaboration, this session will offer a valuable look at how to move from concept to operational scheme design. It is especially relevant for those interested in governance, interoperability and scaling data-sharing models beyond pilots.

What you'll learn:

  • How Perseus was designed to support access to finance for SMEs in the renewable energy transition
  • The governance structure, contractual framework and trust services that underpin the scheme
  • How legal, technical and operational elements come together to support assured data flows at scale
  • Why open source tools and reusable scheme components matter for wider adoption and replication
