My name is Joseph Webster, I am a 21-year old emerging professional within the transport industry. I joined TfWM as a project management apprentice in November 2023, and since then I have been working on the Centre of Excellence for Decarbonising Roads project.
Lauren SeBlonka leads the innovation portfolio for Amey Highways and oversees the Live Labs 2 project with North Lanarkshire Council, the ‘North Campus’ of the Centre of Excellence for Decarbonising Roads. Her experience spans across innovation management, decarbonisation, impact evaluation and programme management in transport infrastructure.
She also co-leads part of the PIARC World Road Association Technical Committee 1.2 Contribution of Roads to Economic and Social Development, representing the U.K. in the global road community to develop best practice for road investment models that drive economic, social and environmental benefit.
With two degrees in Sociology and previous experience in the third sector, Lauren also brings a cross-disciplinary, multi-sector perspective, with a dedication to addressing inequalities and safeguarding a just transition to net-zero.
Dr Joanna White is Director for Research, Development and Innovation at National Highways, where her teams provide technical advice, assurance and leadership on research, innovation, intelligent transport systems, connected and automated vehicles, energy and road design. As a Chartered Engineer with the Institute of Engineering and Technology, Jo is the National Highways professional lead for this capability.
Jo is a huge advocate of STEM activities with schools and is passionate about inspiring people to get into the transport industry.
Outside of her work at National Highways, Jo is a Trustee of the Rees Jeffreys Road Fund.
As Managing Director of Ocular, Chris brings over 20 years of experience in the security industry, with 18 years dedicated to delivering high-security solutions at Ocular. Passionate about customer-driven innovation and collaboration, he focuses on creating smarter, safer solutions for critical infrastructure, public spaces, and transport networks across the UK and Ireland. His goal is to ensure that Ocular remains a trusted name, providing security and surveillance solutions that deliver peace of mind to customers as they work towards their future objectives.
Chloe leads Trees-as-Infrastructure, an initiative of Dark Matter Labs, in the UK – driving urban systems change at the intersection of natural ecosystems and institutional frameworks. A partnership-driven designer, she brings a strategic and interdisciplinary approach to transforming cities. Chloe holds degrees in Mathematics and Philosophy from Oxford, as well as an MSc in Urban Planning and City Design from the UCL Bartlett School of Planning. Prior to her current role, she led research and analysis at Dark Matter Labs, contributing to a wide range of strategic projects.
Dr Kay Inckle is a social scientist with expertise in intersectional and social justice analysis of disability, mental health and gender along with qualitive, creative, user-led and accessible research methods. She is currently Campaigns and Policy Manager at Wheels for Wellbeing, a Disabled people’s cycling organisation who work for equitable access to cycling, active travel and multi-modal journeys for Disabled people. She is also a freelance research and evaluation consultant, strategic advisor to LOUD mobility, director at The Owl and The Lizard CIC, a Pilates instructor (qualified in programming exercise for disabled people) and writer.
