Connected Places Catapult’s provision of networking, collaborations, and introductions has allowed Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) to make connections and to find pathways to growth in several ways. The Catapult’s convening role has supported access to markets and customers, increased credibility, created partnership opportunities, accelerated product development, increased turnover, and created jobs.

● SMEs have created 105 new jobs to date.

● SMEs will benefit from an estimated £3.5 million of Gross Value Added (GVA) between 2025-2028.

Challenges

Barriers to growth experienced by SMEs show that there is a demand for neutral meaningful convening, particularly between and amongst pioneering startups, innovative SMEs, industry, and government.
