Our go-to toolkit for sharing city data

For those working in city governments, as well as those supplying data sharing services, it can be difficult to find a common language and process in approaching the sharing of data.

That’s why the Connected Places Catapult has developed a City Data Sharing Toolkit, which includes tools, approaches and resources for local authorities sharing non-personal data.

The toolkit has been created on the basis of interviews with data sharing experts from around the country. We brought together those from local government, SMEs and think-tanks to help us co-create the early content of the toolkit. The toolkit focuses on the non-technical aspects of sharing data which are often overlooked but can also be the key barriers for data sharing.

The toolkit is published under a Creative Commons license allowing others to re-use the content and suggest further amendments.
