Delivering home retrofit at scale is essential for meeting the UK’s net zero targets, but for local authorities it can be complex, time-consuming and fragmented.

Birmingham City Council faced duplication, delays and a poor customer experience while managing ECO4 and GBIS programmes across multiple partners. By working with Novoville to tailor the Shared Works platform, BCC transformed how retrofit was coordinated, creating a single source of truth, streamlining processes and improving the experience for both residents and officers. This case study shows how the platform was deployed live to support real households, not in theory, but in practice.
