Project Summary
Our specific focus is buses and Traffic Light Priority (TLP), providing a tool for Bus Officers and Signals Officers who face challenges in optimising the setup and maintenance of TLP, because they’re currently unable to account for both multi-modal and network-wide effects.To address this challenge, we will leverage live connected data from buses, cars and micro-mobility, fused using cutting-edge AI, to feed a cross-mode, network-wide digital twin, so Local Authorities can overcome these challenges.This application evidences a step-change in state-of-the-art which overcomes identified DfT transport barriers and aligns with current policy.
