Project Summary
This project is a first-time UK deployment and demonstration of a new-to-market remote sensing technology, the Hager Environmental & Atmospheric Technologies Emissions Detecting And Reporting system (HEAT EDAR), which provides high-resolution, high-sensitivity, multi-species measurement capability (typically, CO, CO2, NO, NO2, HC, and PM2.5 but readily optimised for other applications). It also employs a down-facing, single-unit camera configuration that offers a number of practical advantages over the conventional across-road, single-beam, two-unit arrangement of traditional remote sensing systems.
