Messaging guidance
Here are some key messages about the programme that can be shared externally, on their own or as a whole. Please scroll to the bottom of this page for FAQ’s and guidance on using accessible language in your promotions.
- The Scaling Innovation programme is led by the National Centre for Accessible Transport (ncat) and delivered by Connected Places Catapult. It is a seven-year, multimillion-pound grant programme designed to fund and support small and medium-sized enterprises, academic institutions and charities to develop, test and scale solutions that address barriers to transport accessibility in collaboration with disabled people.
- The ncat consortium includes Coventry University, Designability, RiDC, Policy Connect, WSP, and Connected Places Catapult.
- The programme focuses on driving innovation and adoption across transport and travel, supporting innovators with existing products and services that address accessibility challenges.
- Through co-creation, evidence, testing and collaboration with industry, it helps innovators strengthen and develop their solutions while ensuring disabled people can contribute their lived experience and expertise throughout the process.
- The programme connects innovators with disabled people, transport experts, operators and industry partners, creating a stronger pathway towards the validation and adoption of accessible innovations across the transport sector.
