Connected Places Catapult welcomes its newest Board Member Dr Alison Vincent

We are delighted to welcome Dr Alison Vincent as a Board Member of Connected Places Catapult.

With changes in the way people live, work, play and travel accelerated by the global impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, this is a time of growth and new opportunity for the Connected Places Catapult and the market it exists to champion, as Dr Alison Vincent joins the board.

The appointment follows the arrival of the new Chairman at the firm, Professor Greg Clark CBE, last month. Other new board members will be announced over the coming weeks.

Dr Vincent is also a Non-Executive Director and Technical Advisor to multiple private and public companies with a breadth of experience in cybersecurity, research and development, strategy execution, product management and business development, with particular expertise in digital strategy, innovation and mergers and acquisitions.

Dr Alison Vincent comments on her appointment: “I thoroughly believe that technology can positively impact the world when in the right hands, and the Connected Places Catapult is helping the UK economy do just that. Combine that with its ability to pull parties together that don’t naturally collaborate to build something special. The outcome can be really life-changing, and I’m thrilled to be a part of the team.”

The COVID-19 crisis has intensified innovation and has unlocked opportunities to accelerate the adoption of new ideas and technologies to help create connected places for a more prosperous and greener future. Dr Alison will play a vital role in helping Connected Places Catapult support UK businesses and pioneering places harness these opportunities for innovation and digital adoption. We look forward to this next chapter at Connected Places Catapult.
