In this webinar, you will have the chance to ask the project team and representatives from DfT's National Security Science and Research Division (NSSC) any questions you may have around the competition, if your ideas are viable and any process-based questions you may have.

The Department for Transport (DfT), supported by Connected Places Catapult has launched the HADeS 2026 (High Assurance Detection Systems) competition to find new technologies, products, and services to enhance UK airports' checkpoint security screening capability. Successful applicants will receive funding to develop their ideas across two tracks during a 6-month programme that will involve 1-2-1 technical support from the NSSC team, as well as additional business support provided by Connected Place Catapult.

This application support webinar will cover the programme challenges and guidance on the application process. The competition aims to tackle significant sector challenges and accelerate innovation in the Airport security ecosystem marketplace.
