Alistair Dormer was appointed Representative Executive Officer, Executive Vice President and Executive Officer Railway Systems Business, Nuclear Energy Business, Energy Business, and Power Grids Business in January 2023 responsible for the Mobility and Energy businesses within the Hitachi portfolio. In addition,Alistair retains his role of Chair Hitachi Energy, Chair Hitachi Rail and Director Hitachi Europe. Alistair started his career in Hitachi in 2003 firstly to establish Hitachi’s Rail business in Europe. He was promoted to CEO of Hitachi Rail Europe Ltd in 2009 and promoted to Senior Vice President and Executive Officer Group CEO, Rail Systems Business Unit Hitachi Ltd April 2014, responsible for Hitachi’s global rail business. In 2019 he was promoted to Executive Vice President of Hitachi Ltd, serving on the Executive Committee of Hitachi Ltd as Chief Environmental Officer and leading the Mobility portfolio of Hitachi Ltd. Alistair lives in the UK with his family.
