Innovating to improve customer experiences of roadworks

National Highways is offering an exciting opportunity for organisations to work with them, trialling innovations which could have a positive impact on customer experiences of roadworks

National Highways is committed to helping people make safer, more reliable journeys on their road network. Crucial to their success is striking the right balance when planning and carrying out roadworks; minimising the impact on road users, businesses and communities, while doing what’s needed to maintain a safe network.

A poor experience and delays in roadworks can have a big impact on day-to-day lives and the economy. So, National Highways has partnered with Connected Places Catapult to offer an exciting opportunity for organisations, across varying markets, to work with them, trialling innovations which could have a positive impact on customer experiences of roadworks.

If you have a new idea, product or technology that has the potential to demonstrably improve customer experiences in roadworks, we want to hear from you. We’re hosting an open competition to attract new ideas that we haven’t yet trialled, tested or even thought of ourselves. Through this competition, funding will be awarded to develop existing technology or new innovations which we think will help make a difference for road users, or the communities and businesses impacted by roadworks.

Follow the link below to register your interest for this competition. Once you’ve registered, we’ll let you know how and when to submit a formal application for funding.

Please contact us if you have any questions about this competition at innovation_funding@cp.catapult.org.uk
