HR Business Partner

Purpose of the role

This exciting role requires someone who is passionate about HR and the employee life cycle.  In this hands-on role they would help and support the organisations people and culture approach. As well as liaising with the organisation, the HR Business Partner would help to develop, rollout and monitor HR initiatives and programmes across the organisation.


The role will work closely with the rest of the HR Team.


Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships across the business ensuring managers are supported and coached to be the best that they can be
  • Give guidance on all aspects of HR issues with the employee lifecycle including; terms & conditions, performance management and employee relations
  • Provide a HR advisory service to line managers across the organisation which balances the business needs and Is legally compliant, following up with appropriate correspondence
  • Ensure the employee lifecycle activities are followed and executed
  • Ensure policies, procedures and templates are current and update where necessary
  • Maintain accurate employee records both in the HR System and in the employee files
  • Work with the recruitment team to effectively onboard new colleagues
  • Provide HR Data and reporting to stakeholders as and when needed
  • To work on any HR projects as and when required
  • Undertake any other reasonable duties to support the Catapult in achieving its strategic outcomes and ensure effective business operations


Required skills and experience

  • Similar level of responsibility held
  • Excellent knowledge of employment legislation and how to keep up to date
  • Ability to assess and review company HR policies
  • Practical and logical with the ability to solve problems quickly
  • Excellence at managing positive relations with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels, being persuasive and approachable
  • Commercial acumen in partnering with the business to deliver commercially focused people strategies
  • Experience of managing a brilliant employee experience
  • Experience of scoping HR projects and seeing through to completion
  • Experience of working with data and presenting this in an easy to read format
  • Ability to coach or train new line managers on HR processes
  • Ability to work with limited supervision under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Credible to give advice to line management
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills
  • Hands-on experience of HR systems
