Building on a core skill set of the catapult, human centred design is an approach to problem-solving using the human perspective and strategic use of design as a route to innovation in each step of the process. It uses skills in design, user engagement, social sciences, human factors, and creative storytelling to uncover unique insights and design new place-based services through an iterative process. The Director will be expected to work in collaboration with our Chief Operations Officer to operationalise the strategic plan, in order to build a tangible and sustainable programme of work that ensures the delivery of our human centred design ambitions. The Accelerator Programme Manager is responsible for the delivery of an effective programme of support for SMEs working on solutions that fit within the Clean Air and Micro Mobility spaces. This role works closely with the Accelerator Programmes Lead. We have a programme blueprint already in place, but the role of the Programme Manager is to curate the content that is bespoke to the business development requirements of each SME within the cohort. This full-time role is contracted for 10 months (with potential to extend beyond this) and will be based in Staffordshire, Keele, at the Keele University Innovation Hub. The role will also involve some travel to London, which will be reimbursed.
