As part of the natural growth cycle of small businesses, raising funding is one of the first hurdles that a new entrepreneur may face. From grants and loans to equity finance from crowdfunding or external investors, there are many different financing routes for small business to take for them to grow from seed stage all the way to late stage and expansion. In particular with the coronavirus crisis, this had led to greater risk on cashflow crunch among some smaller businesses, and so times are imminent for SMEs to look for effective ways to raise money that can help them weather the storm.
We are pleased to announce that Connected Places Catapult will be running the Raising Investment Masterclass with Mathys & Squire and Raising Partners on the 7th October, for SMEs who are needing to raise investment and would like to know more information, tools and techniques to increase successes in raising money. If you are an SME looking to explore this space, you will have the opportunity to hear more from our expert partners, engage in a small-group activity to kick-start new thinking, and engage in a pre-booked 1:1 session with Mathys & Squire and/or Raising Partners for more tailored advice on this subject matter.
This is a free masterclass, but please be aware that we will be selecting a cohort of SMEs to participate; your responses on the questions provided during sign up will be important for us to assess whether this masterclass is best match to your needs.
Please note that this event is scheduled to take place at Mathys & Squire office at The Shard, but we may bring this event to a virtual setting according to any changes on Covid 19 regulations made by the government.
